Anyone up for a compulsory pop quiz?

I don’t know how the conversation started but start it did. In an Episode of Friends, Jennifer Anniston playing Rachel Green wore a t-shirt with the logo of legendary, seminal 1964 punk band, MC5. There’s nothing wrong with that you might think and you would be wrong because there is everything wrong with that. There is no way in hell that the Jennifer Green character knew who MC5 were. I know this because the Rachel Anniston character wasn’t exactly known for her love of the punk, anti-establishment, counterculture movement. Fast forward to today and at least one person agrees with me although I have no idea who Terry Goldsmith from London is and I doubt if he knows me:

  1. Actually, it would be more effective if those of us who REMEMBER those bands would go up to these kids wearing the shirts, get excited and start discussing the music in detail. 😀

    1. Sounds like a plan to me although I think that might well end up as a one-sided discussion! 😉

    1. I think the compulsory pop quiz should be ongoing. So someone might get the t-shirt now but if they can’t name two further Rolling Stone songs by the following week, then it’s taken back.
