Spring is here, with fragrant flowers
Wafting perfume here and there.
Here I stand amid the bowers,
Breathing the aromatic air.
A tickle rises up my nose
Stops and digs into my brain.
I gasp in dread, as I suppose
That allergies have struck again.
Pollen, Pollen, what have I done
To make you want to torment me?
Why can’t I enjoy some springtime sun
And why can’t you just let me be?
Ahhhhhh – CHOO!!
Beautiful song … makes me tear up and sniffle.
You can get the same effect in my neighborhood right now by opening the door and stepping outside!
I . . I . . ah CHOOOoooooo, feel your pain Kathy!
I hand you a virtual box of kleenex, specially softened with lotion to sooth that irritated nose, and a neti pot for all that sinus gunk.
Is this your “Allergy Aria”? It certainly ends on a high note.
Hay Fever has an unfortunate tendency to put a damper on high notes. We have to take them where we find them during pollen season! 😉
Ah wake up and smell the roses Kathy!
Ouch! What did you have to go and punch me for?
Don’t say you weren’t warned!! 😉
