Creating a New Image for Sharks

By: Kevin Dooley

Sunday night begins the eagerly-awaited “Shark Week” on Discovery Channel. In anticipation of the annual event, sharks of all species gathered at their own conference to discuss ways to soften their image and change the way other creatures view them. Shark leaders consulted human organizations–such as the NRA–who used slogans such as “Guns don’t kill people; people kill people”– in hopes of building a new brand stressing their positive attributes. Sharks plan a rigorous social media and print campaign to let the world know they are serious about rebuilding their image. Here are the most popular slogans selected by sharks from all over the world.

1. Sharks —  fins of fun

2. invite a shark to dinner; there will be no leftovers

3. When a shark kisses you, you’ll never forget it

4. We are not cold-blooded killers; we are just cold-blooded

and lastly,

Sharks don’t kill people; shark teeth kill people

  1. I’m going to be controversial here Don Don’s but I don’t think that that’s a real shark.

  2. Sharks probably become voracious man-eaters because their parents don’t love them.
