I think you’re glossing over the term SLAVE having it confused with PAID WORKERS. Paying their masters to rent out their SLAVES isn’t a paid worker either. However, you can have our left over lasagna and sleep in our leaking hay shed if you build our new barns.

As the SNL guy so aptly put it, “You don’t hire slaves. You slave slaves.” Well, maybe that wasn’t word for word, but it’s the best I can do from memory.
As for being well fed and housed, most of us can do that for ourselves if we are paid for our work and allowed to figure out for ourselves how we want to live our lives.
