Weather Has Left The Build…er…City

No weather, nothing, nada, zip, zero, no degrees.

So today, my weather ap says that it’s a balmy forty-two degrees outside.  But the other day, when I opened up that ap to see how cold it was, I discovered that we actually had a day in which we had no weather…zip, zero, nada, no degrees.  I concluded that if we had no degrees, then we had no weather.  Weather had officially left the city.

I’m a southern girl who has never gotten used to the cold up north.  My motto is that if the temperature doesn’t start with a seven, eight, or nine, then it’s too damn cold.  I guess age related loss of part of my brain has made me change my ways.  Well that and learning to live by comparison.

When my family in Texas tells me that it’s seventy degrees and sunny there, when it’s forty degrees and cloudy here, it makes me cold, and I complain.  But when one day, we have no weather at all, and then a few days later, it’s forty-two, my age related brain loss has to do a jig in comparison.  Spring has arrived.  Let’s celebrate!

  1. If it makes you feel any better, I’m a northern boy who never got used to northern weather. I don’t know why that would make you feel better, but still.
