Alzheimer’s: Blessing in Disguise?

Pat Robertson made news recently for suggesting that it was OK to divorce your wife if she has Alzheimer’s disease. I personally feel he’s overlooking the benefits of being married to someone suffering from such a condition. You won’t ever hear “How many times have I told you to put the toilet seat down?!?!” or “Didn’t I tell you to take out this trash?”.

  1. I took from the video that he was addressing the dating other people issue, that is if that was going to happen he should divorce her. However, he did acknowledge that the condition was a type if death to itself. Aren’t these the same people who never want to pull the plug on anyone until the last cell is cold?

  2. Personally, I think Pat Robertson’s wife should set him ablaze then forget where the fire extinguisher is claiming a brief but necessary moment of Alzheimer’s.

  3. So the through sickness and health thing doesn’t count if it’s Alzheimer’s? Pat Robertson – another example of evil. That should be the 700 club tag line.
