God Smites Journalist for not Capitalizing “Him”

A man is recovering in an area hospital after a late night smiting that he received from God. Ivano Salvacion, 48, was writing an article about the abuses of the Catholic Church while he was struck by a freak lightning strike.

“It wasn’t even cloudy out. But I know it was God.”

When asked if it was the fact that the piece was critical of the sexual abuse which occurred and was covered up, Salvacion, replied, “Oh, no. I had been writing pages and pages of that kind of thing. Plus I’ve written many articles about this in the past…and God doesn’t really seem to have a problem with that whole situation.”

Upon further questioning, he divulged that it was indeed right after he referenced God as “him” when he was struck.

“My shift key has been sticking. I always capitalize ‘God’ and ‘Him’ because I know how much he loves that. I was just about to backspace and erase that. It’s like he was just waiting for me to screw up.”

When we attempted to reach God to ask him why something so seemingly trivial like capitalization of h…His name is so important when there’s so much suffering in the world, he refused comment.

  1. In trouble with the big kahuna, Eric? I would think that perhaps he won’t pay attention to your work. You tend to play down his powers and I don’t think he–oops (duck-lightning) — HE likes that!
