I watched a little bit of President Obama’s town hall meeting on CNN today. He made an interesting point when he pointed to a study showing that when people associate themselves mainly with only those who hold their same beliefs, those beliefs become even more entrenched and the result is that we become more polarized and are easily subject to believing ugly stereotypes about those we don’t agree with.
I don’t really buy into this theory, and to prove it…do any of you gun-toting, thieving, dim-witted, bigoted, NASCAR-watching, bible-banging, women-hating, redneck, Chuck Norris-worshiping, science-denying, hillbilly, racist, piece of shit Republicans want to get together and have a beer?
I’d be willing to abandon all of my beliefs and become a piece-of-shit Republican for a beer. Just name the place.
