At 5:38am her alarm goes off and she starts her morning ritual—shower, makeup, hair, clothes, and breakfast. At 7:15am, when my alarm goes off, she is rummaging under the bed… looking for the pair of shoes that she is going to wear for the day. Naturally, the pair she wants is so far under the bed that when I turn my alarm off and poke my ahead around her corner of the bed… only the bottom half of her is exposed. I fight off the urge to take her… I also fight off the urge to shove her the rest of the way under the bed.
