The way we conduct ourselves, the way we act in times of adversity is what shapes our character. If Thirsty Dave wants to go to a Bon Jovi concert, I’m not going to try to stop him because it’s his choice and I have no right to intervene, even though Bon Jovi are to music what Justin Bieber is to music. It doesn’t mean I have to stop trying to remove Bon Jovi from the realm of consciousness though. If Scurvy Jane wants to rent a DVD and chooses to rent the Star Wars prequels, I’m not gong to try to stop her because it’s her choice and I have no right to intervene, even though George Lucas will one day have to pay for his sins when the revolution comes. Although I have as much time for mosquitos as I have for religion, I was brought up by parents who instilled values, ethics and morals in me and that’s why I would never stoop as low as this:

I guess the poor mosquito will have to be home schooled until the repellant wears off. Poor little guy!
I know, it’s such a sad story that has something to say abut something, I think!
I do sense some kind of remorse on the mosquito sprayer part don’t I?
I don’t know Don Dons but I like to think that I have absolutely nothing in common with that vindictive, mosquito sprayer!
This guy could be our next mass shooter
Good point, they start with small animals, no?
Start as you mean to go on or so they say.
I think I see what’s happening here. When you read “sprayed”, you’re not thinking “he sprayed some deodorant on”, you’re thinking “he sprayed the entire class with bullets”!
