Atlanta, Georgia resident Robert Fitzsimmons is recovering in an area hospital after awaking from a coma he lapsed into after suffering a brutal beating during a home invasion which also resulted in the malicious deaths of his entire family.
But Robert, a self described “God-fearing man of faith”, is certain that God has something special planned for him and this was God’s way of announcing it to him.
“The all-powerful God just doesn’t speak our language, so He’s got to send us signs that we are capable, as lowly humans, of understanding. We can’t understand Godly communications that are made on His plane of existence. But this, taking my family from me in what investigators call the most disgustingly brutal attack ever inflicted upon a group of people in the entire southeast of the country, while forcing me to watch… I mean, if He had killed my family but not made them suffer so badly, I might have just thought that it was just some kind of random act of violence. But the way that it happened, I know it had to be Him.”
“I am your humble servant, Lord. I await your instructions to carry out your noble purpose. Do you want me to make a viral video? Run across America? Please let me know with another sign. Preferably a much less painful sign.”
Doctors say that Fitzsimmons will not walk again and will most likely be forced to live in a special home for the rest of his life.
