Showtime’s Ray Donovan: My Obsession Confession

September 6, 2013

Parade-online-logo-w-boxShowtime’s Ray Donovan just might be headed for the big time if the buzz for Season One is any indication. With the lure of a Hollywood backdrop and dead-on casting, writing and acting, the show has more than a few hooked on the dysfunctional Boston family. It’s not typical for a psychologist to confess that she loves watching dysfunction, but I’m an entertainment analyst and fictional dysfunction doesn’t count. Here’s my online analysis for Parade Magazine.

Dr. Nancy Berk

Nancy Berk, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, entertainment and fan base strategist, multimedia content creator, and President of Nancy Berk Media LLC. An online entertainment columnist for PARADE magazine and host of the celebrity podcast Whine At 9—featuring conversations with over 300 celebrities and show business insiders, Nancy has chatted and laughed with Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy winners, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. A celebrity favorite, she is known for her skilled and sensitive interviewing and ability to incorporate subtle humor in her conversations, shows, and stories. Nancy’s self-help humor book College Bound and Gagged: How to Help Your Kid Get into a Great College without Losing Your Savings, Your Relationship, or Your Mind can be seen in the feature film Admission starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd.
