I’m one of those mockers who prefers the sound of Tom Waits on vinyl to that of CD or download. There’s just a fuller, warmer sound from vinyl and the smell and feel of a record can only be beaten by better smells. It’s the same with a book. Sure, it’s great to read on the many digital devices that are available but you just can’t beat an actual book where you can pretend to read Finnegan’s Wake on public transport and look super intelligent to your fellow women travelers. Films are the very same. If you offered me the choice of watching Star Wars in its original format or the Blu-ray version, I know what I’d choose and I know why:

Damn, Blu-Ray really is amazing!
I can understand why some people like it but what about those of us who have a morbid fear of Pepsi?
“The Pepsi you see is not the soda you’re looking for.”
“This Pepsi is not the soda we’re looking for.”
Hysterical!
It took me an hour to spot the difference!
