The easy way out can be expensive but well worth it.

I couldn’t think what the special occasion was. It wasn’t a birthday, Friday or the anniversary of argument number 72 but she still let me know in no uncertain terms that I was a pathetic, little mocker for forgetting to get her a present. As far as I was concerned, it was then all about damage limitation. I could spend time trying to decipher what I’d done wrong or I could get her one of those nutcrackers that has the internet on it. Throughout the ages, many a man has attempted to unravel the mysteries of a woman’s mind and spectacularly failed. I simply hadn’t got the few hundred years it would take to figure out what I had done wrong so I took the credit card out of storage and bought the nutcracker:

    1. I’m with Mark, too, and Thomas. I can swear that looks like a finger being cracked.

Poor Bill! You will be forced to type your hilarious posts using only four fingers on your right hand!

      1. There’s an invention there somewhere. If only someone could come up with some sort of device that records words, we wouldn’t have to type at all.

  1. It looks like you’ve got your pinky finger stuck in said nutcracker, and it looks painful. Which serves you right for forgetting about All Saints Day or something.

    1. Who would have guessed that the special occasion I forgot was the anniversary of the 356th week that she first told me that she hates Bon Jovi?

    1. But just how does Mark know so much? Methinks there’e experience behind that advice!

        1. I got that from your earlier words. Words are nothing without experience. Thanks for sharing.

      1. This is why I love HO, you get great advice that you just don’t get anywhere else. You we’re sooooo right Mark and Bill Y will sooooonot make that mistake again!

    1. Thanks for the advice Mark. I only wish you said that before the hospital had to be visited by me and my bits!
