My neighbor’s kids are the poster children for Apple with all their gadgets in preparation to head back to school to conquer the third and fifth grade. I was stunned and a bit jealous. I’m not bitter, but I thought it was going to be a great school year for me if I had non-generic crayons and a cool pencil case.

I used to be excited by my KISS notebooks and trying to decide what subject to assign each band member.
I always had a favorite pencil, and it never died on me.
Yes, it just got really small after a while!
Our school told us to leave our imagination at home. My selective hearing didn’t quite take any notice of that one!
Really Bill Y? I am shocked by that revelation. 🙂
Our school told our parents exactly what we were to bring with us, how many and even what brand of folder to buy. They left nothing to chance. We weren’t allowed pencil boxes, either. We had to use cigar boxes.
Come to think of it, cigar boxes were pretty cool, and you could put a lot of stuff in them.
How come no pencil cases but cigar boxes. What if your father didn’t smoke?
