David Brenner blended intelligence and sharp wit to create an enormously successful comedy career, but he was so much more than that. His record-breaking Tonight Show appearances were evidence of his talent and foresight. And his ability to read the room and strategically map out a career in a field that wasn’t always kind to its players was astounding. I was honored to have had the opportunity to chat with David Brenner in 2012. He was funny, and charming, and incredibly wise. Listen to that interview here on Whine At 9.

I loved David Brenner. His humor was universal!
I always liked him, too. May he rest in peace.
A great Comedian! Use to watch him on The Courtship of Eddies Father TV Show and loved him with Johnny Carson. He’s still making people laugh.
I always liked David!
