Time to Turn Thanksgiving into Relaxgiving

Once again the leaves have begun to turn, the weather is cooler, football is in full swing, and I have finally recovered from my yearly bout with Halloween induced type 2 diabetes.  All I have to do now is make it through the worst holiday of the year to enjoy the sweet over-the-top capitalistic orgy that is the Christmas season.  That holiday is Thanksgiving I have never really enjoyed Thanksgiving. It is more hassle than fun with the highlight being something I do every day…eat dinner.  Maybe it’s having to talk to people when all I want to do is sit on the couch and watch football.  Maybe it’s the devastating end of the night filled with searing gas pain and regret. Or maybe it’s eating a meal with a heaping side dish of passive aggressive judgement served up cold by my mother-in-law.  That’s why I have devised a fool proof plan to eliminate any chance of having to go anywhere or do anything on Thanksgiving again, and it all starts with having the holiday event in your own house.
