Hegseth Mistakenly Attends “No Kings!” Rally, Thinking He Was Protesting MLK, Jr. Holiday

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was red-faced on Saturday after showing up at a “No Kings!” demonstration in Washington, DC, waving a sign featuring a photo of Martin Luther King, Jr. wearing devil’s horns.

“I thought it was a rally to repeal Martin Luther King, Jr. Day,” Hegseth admitted.  “That being said, there’s no way this King guy should be honored with a national holiday.  Do you know that he spent time in JAIL during the civil rights movement?  Our country should never honor criminals, unless they’ve been pardoned by President Trump — like  Lil Wayne.  Now, that’s a person of color I’d be proud to have as my co-pilot if we ever bombed a non-Christian elementary school in Iran.”
