White House Mail Room Confirms That Zelensky Thank-You Note Was Received on February 12th

“Oops, our bad.”  A red-faced Kevin Cariato, Director of White House Mail and Messenger Operations, acknowledged on Monday that a thank-you note from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW on February 12, 2025.  It was apparently dropped by a mail clerk in the sorting room, and discovered on the floor behind a dehumidifier by a custodian on Sunday, March 2nd.  The note says:

Dear President Trump:

Thank you for all the money and weapons you have given to my country

to help us defend ourselves against that Skull of Satan, Vladimir Putin.

Please give my regards to Melania.

Yours truly, VZ

According to Mr. Cariato, the White House was inundated with mail during the period in which the thank-you note arrived: “In the week leading up to February 14th, the President received nearly 8,500 Valentine’s Day cards from Russian prostitutes.  Things can get lost in the shuffle.  But let me be clear:  even one misplaced thank-you note is one too many.”
