Studies have indicated that 67% of cell phones meet their demise after getting wet, with 78% of those phones meeting their end after plunging into a toilet. A third party company is now combating this problem after developing a substance that can coat the internal components of a phone and prevent it from being damaged by submersion. Apple will soon be incorporating this substance in their phones, so a splash in a toilet will not be the end of your iPhone.
Note to self: Do not borrow anyone’s iPhone to make a call after Q1 2013.
