Forget the cute puppy photos and those beach-selfies designed to make other people jealous. There’s really only one reason we have Facebook. It’s so we can stumble upon a story like this:
According to the Toronto Sun, a group of tourists was recently travelling through Iceland on a tour bus. When they stopped to check out a volcanic canyon, one of the women on the bus left to change her clothes and freshen up. When she returned, the other passengers didn’t recognize her.
Soon, there was word of a missing passenger. Not recognizing the description of herself, the woman joined in the search. About 50 people searched the terrain by vehicles and on foot. But the search was called off when it became clear that the missing woman was actually accounted for and was searching for herself.
This is why I don’t do tour busses. Except for this one. On this “bus” you expect to lose people:
I’m seeing a blockbuster summer comedy.
If this doesn’t make it to the big screen, nothing will.
Why is it when you are missing you are always in the last place you look?
