Ruth Weisberg puts the “multi” in multimedia—TV and radio commentator, voiceover narrator and coach, journalist, motivational speaker, and TV talk show host. She is the producer and host of “Storytime and Show ‘n Tell with Miss Ruth,” a fun cable/internet TV talk show featuring authors, innovators, business leaders, and other cool folks with captivating work/life narratives. Including her own. Afterall, Ruth is a former “Miss Philadelphia” in the Miss America Pageant, and can still play a badass* rendition of “The Maple Leaf Rag” on the piano, which was her award-winning performance in the talent competition.
(Where “badass” here means ‘bad’ and “does this piano bench make my ‘ass’ look big?”)
Ruth is a vivacious, vibrant voiceover narrator (see what I did there?!) and teaches voiceover narration classes at The Voice Box as well as mentoring individual students with private instruction. Those on the Main Line of Philadelphia will know that she is the creator and leader of a popular voiceover field trip on the Paoli Local, where voiceover enthusiasts narrate billboards and posters while riding the rails. These sold-out field trips are called (wait for it..)”Throw Drama From the Train.”
Ruth loves to make the printed word come alive and thoroughly enjoys narrating everything from novels and college textbooks to medical training videos. (Fun fact: Ruth was the recorded announcement voice for the phone company. As in, “We’re sorry. Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Will you please hang up and try your call again.” Yep, that’s her you hissed and snarled at.)
