Backup Killer, SUV

I filmed an entire movie with my car’s backup camera.

It’s bold, innovative, Hitchcockian, and a bit blurry in spots because some days wet snow was stuck to the camera.

It’s called Backup Killer, SUV, about a serial killer that murders people by backing over them with his car. He uses snow tires all year for extra carnage.

The casting process was arduous, but I’m hugely pleased with the results. Backup Killer, SUV features some real up-and-coming actors, except a few of them were accidentally run over and decided to end their acting careers. The actors that didn’t survive aren’t acting anymore, obviously. The rest of the cast that survived were very life-like in their portrayals of car accident victims. Of course, you can’t really call them accidents, because they were victims of the Backup Killer, SUV.

You’ll find the night scenes especially creepy. The red glow from the backup car lights creates a psychotic, almost Taxi Driver feel to the movie. Maybe we should have made him a taxi driver. Hmmmm.

The movie runs at 9.5 minutes, only because we ran out of gas and our budget was empty.

Look for Backup Killer, SUV at a video store near you, especially the ones that are closing.

  1. That’s such a creative idea! Filming from the backup camera would have a really interesting effect on the audience. And it’s a good way to save money without buying a new camera. Being that creative and resourceful is one of the habits of successful people. To be honest, 9.5 minutes is perfect for my attention span.
