Do you run outside in the winter?

Regularly, especially this time of year, I’m asked: “Do you go outside and run?”

My answer, invariably, goes something like this:

“Sure, I do the same thing you do. I put on a jacket, a pair of gloves and a hat and head out the door. By the first mile, I’m all warmed up just like the first mile you rode in your car”

“The main difference though is that I’ve already burned at least 125 calories with at least double that many more to go.”

“You, on the other hand, have probably added another 125 calories by eating a few bites of that Krispy Crème you have in your hand with at least double that many more to go.”
