In a Kabul press conference yesterday, senior Taliban leader Amir Khan Muttaqi asserted that “the new Afghanistan will resemble ‘Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood’ in its harmony, tolerance, and tranquility.” He also claimed that Afghan women would “be fully supported by the government in embracing their sexuality in a fashion consistent with the adventures of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda in ‘Sex and the City’.
“On October 1st we will begin broadcasting episodes of both shows to all those who dwell in our great nation. Believe me, you are going to LOVE Taliban 2.0.”
