The Danish Academy of Public Communication announced on Monday that it will present JD Vance with its coveted George Santos Fabrication Medal on December 2nd in Copenhagen.
According to Mette Frederikson, the Danish Prime Minister, “we are awed by the brazen outrageousness of the lies perpetrated by Mr. Vance concerning Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. It’s one thing to utter a falsehood, but it’s another to lie in a fashion that destabilizes an entire community, undermining its foundational sense of security. Indeed, it is this latter accomplishment that the award recognizes. In his fabrications, Mr. Vance seamlessly combines the articulateness of a Yale intellect with the moral recklessness of a common street thug. He establishes a standard of depravity that other members of his party will aspire to for decades to come.”
Informed of the honor, Mr. Vance was humble: “If my actions result in just one Haitian being unjustly sent back to the Caribbean, I will have done my job.”
