Bipartisan Support Grows for “NO-TRUMP TUESDAYS” Legislation

Help is on the way for Americans suffering from “Trump Fatigue,” which is caused by being exposed — day after day after f**king day — to the images, words, and deeds of President Donald J. Trump.

Republican Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Democrat Chris Murphy (Connecticut) have announced that they are co-sponsoring Senate Bill 472, which would make it illegal, on Tuesdays, for any individual or organization to report on the activities, decisions, or utterances of the President.  This ban would include the sharing of any videos, photographs, or drawings featuring Trump.

“Americans need a break,” claims Murkowski.  “National surveys indicate that I’m not the only one who starts dry-heaving every time I see the President on a TV screen.  Our collective esophagus is raw and bleeding.

“Research shows that in the hours immediately following any major broadcast featuring the President, the number of people who leave their house or apartment, get in their car, and drive off a cliff increases by nearly 1600%.  Congress must do whatever it can to stop this carnage.”

When a reporter observed that the ban would apply to just one day of the week, Senator Murphy responded, “that’s true, but we have to start somewhere.  This is not a political issue, it’s a public health crisis.  It’s time for Democrats and Republicans to come together to bring an end to this era of national nausea.”
