The Role of Humor on Our Spiritual Journey

June 25, 2011
By

Spirituality helps us become a better person; humor allows people to put up with our work in progress. A well-conceived humorous article or joke can impart a spiritual truth in a manner that distracts our thinking mind while passing the lesson straight to our compassionate heart. It’s a little like “a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down”. Laughter keeps us from getting stiff, both physically and mentally. So, remember that a little “light” humor might just be the path to en-light-enment! Lighten up!

Mike Oberg

Photographer and former engineer, I write about things that bring me joy and passion. I believe God wants us all to laugh!
