I heard on the radio that somebody’s making a movie about Jimi Hendrix and they still haven’t secured the rights to use his music… Hey, I’m no professional negotiator, but wouldn’t you do that kind of thing BEFORE you started making the movie? You could say something like, “Yeah, it’s either gonna be about Hendrix or Manilow depending on who gives us the better deal.” You know, play it cool. I guess we’ll know what happened if the movie comes out sporting “Purple Maze”, “Hey Jim”, and “The Wind Cries Larry”.
