Hate Crime Victim Relieved to Know Life-Threatening Attack Was Not Personal

Pat Anderson regained consciousness today after being moved from the ICU as a result of an upgraded medical condition.

Ouch

The patient was assaulted from behind by a group of three masked men while walking the family dog last night alongside of a city park. Police have labeled this a hate crime as certainly the attackers’ actions were clearly motivated by Anderson’s gender, skin color, race, sexual orientation, religion, country of origin, nationality, or some other distinguishing characteristic that might apply to Anderson.

“I’m just relieved that they were out to just attack my gender, skin color, race, sexual orientation, religion, country of origin, or nationality, and not me personally. In fact, I don’t feel nearly as bad now that I know it wasn’t anything they had against me personally, and that they would have just as easily beaten someone else who just happened to be my gender, skin color, race, sexual orientation, religion, country of origin, nationality, or some other similarly loathsome characteristic of mine.”

Police have suggested that Anderson possibly not walk such a silly looking dog in the future.
