We bought a recessed light bulb for our kitchen. This new LED bulb will last 33 years. So the next replacement will be found in our will.

We have an eternal, loud dishwasher that we keep hoping will die. We’ve finally given up and plan to replace it with something we don’t have to shout over, but I have a lot of guilt about giving up something that still technically works. I don’t like it when I feel guilty for getting rid of something that is not even alive. If you should decide to say bye to the bulb before 33 years, I wish you a guilt-free decision.
I’m the dishwasher at my house, and in addition to being old I can also be loud.
So what are you going to do with all that time you used to spend shopping for light bulbs? I’m sure Ed is happy with this purchase!
I guess I can put that time into saving the world now! 🙂
The only thing that should last 33 years is a deep-filled hatred of a band!
Do you have any band in particular in mind Bill Y?
I’ll have to clean my kitchen more often if that things going to shine for 33-years! 😉
I thought the same thing Deb. Damn, it’s bright!
Now I’m imaging my house falling down around my ears (it’s halfway there already) and leaving that bulb, just sitting there, still lit.
it reminds me of Motel 6 “we’ll leave the light on!” ad campaign. That will be my house. That will be my claim to fame.
That’s almost as long as the Twinkies will last that I saved in a memory box from my childhood.
And I am thinking Forrest that if you want your 30-year-old Twinkie toasted, the bulb can do it.
