The Women’s Vote in Saudi Arabia

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has decreed that in four years women will be granted the right to vote, and he has also promised that women will be allowed to run in future
municipal elections.

Of course, there are still obstacles for this new female freedom: A woman will still
be required to get a man’s permission before making all decisions; a woman cannot drive herself to the polls since women will still be banned from operating a car ; and  the biggest obstacle — A woman casting a vote must have a penis.
