Potential Irony Alert!

Poligun

A senate candidate in Georgia is using a novel approach to sucker people into signing up for his campaign mailing list. He’s hoping to emerge from a crowded GOP primary field and run against a lady named Michelle Nunn. If it we’re up to me, I’d opt for a witty approach, such as fliers that read “Good ideas? My opponent ain’t got Nunn!”

But gentle humor is so yesterday. Instead, this guy is going with a gun giveaway. Join the mailing list and you’re in the running for one of the guns shown above! It’s quite the incentive, and it only costs you a few seconds each morning deleting fear-mongering emails.

Just imagine your teenage daughter sneaking back into the house after a night out with friends. You confront her like a man and shout “Halt! I’ve got a Colt Magpul 6920 Flat Dark Earth with an Aim Point Optic and…where was I?…oh yeah, and I’m not afraid to use it!!!”

Here’s where the potential for irony comes in. No one is hoping for this, of course, but imagine if the candidate got shot. And then they traced the gun that was used back to the person who won this raffle.

That’d be irony. So hurry up, because time is short. The raffle ends March 21st. Hopefully this guy’s candidacy won’t self-implode before then.

  1. I don’t know which gun I want so I’m going to sign up with two different names. Bill Y is gonna beat the system!

  2. People needing guns can probably do better with raffles/giveaways at CPAC! Mitch McConnell got one just for walking onto the stage!

  3. I love irony but it would likely not have any affect on the crowd who have built barricades and stock piled food thinking the feds are coming after their guns
