From as far back as the days before things happened, Math has tried to seat itself at the table. I’ll be the first to admit that the abacus is as useful as Penicillin but that doesn’t mean I have to smile in its company:

Would you believe that I STILL do arithmetic manually, on paper, when I can’t be bothered digging out a calculator?
The nuns in Catholic school back in the 50s really rammed that stuff into us!
Praise the nuns. When I scream at kids and tell them to get out of my garden, in the back of he Y head, I just know that they can’t do arithmetic!
I think I owned one of those and I still count on my fingers. 🙁

I can sort you out with the numbers part but I’m keeping the rest!
