Fall Lineup for HOPress, Shorehouse Books and Corner Office Books

Fall 2016 will be a big release time for Humoroutcasts Press and Shorehouse Books and the new Corner Office Books label.  We have quite a few launches and I wanted to give readers a preview of what is in store for them:

HOPRESS:

Motherhood_Cover-1Margie Cherry brings her twist of the coloring book craze with Mom’s Comedy Coloring Book which HOPress will release in mid-September. Margie melds her original art and comedy together to make even the most stressed out new mom laugh out loud. A long-time comic and now career counselor, Margie branded a new kind of humor she dubbed “Mom-Com” back in 1990 with her groundbreaking cartoon “The Art of Motherhood” and with her stand-up “Momedy” act (which she had to give up because of all the vomiting…on her part as well as the audience’s), and lastly with her popular seminars, “Mom’s Comedy Workshop”, where she taught moms to save their own sanity by creating comedy to deal with stresses of parenthood. There was considerably less spit-up involved. All we can say is Margie is back so get ready to color and laugh outside the lines! Get ready for the contests too!

Scripture Scribbles: Cartoons from the Choir Loft 3? Yep Phillip Dillman is back with another collection of his hilarious and slightly irreverent cartoons of Christian humor that followers of all faiths and non-faiths will enjoy. His first two books Scripture Scribbles: Cartoons from the Choir Loft and More Scripture Scribbles: Cartoons from the Choir Loft have proven to us that religion can be funny and sacred at the same time.  HOPress’ projected release of this book is December 1st.  Also, we will be hosting a contest and a lucky winner will win a Phillip Dillman-signed original cartoon that will not appear in any book!

SHOREHOUSE BOOKS:

Shorehouse Books is proud to publish another novel from Deb Martin-Webster. Deb returns this fall Forever montanawith the third book in her western romance series. Forever, Montana which follows up Love, Montana and Always, Montana. The books follow the life of Rose and her husband, famous western novelist Montana Joe, and their family, friends and the generations that follow.  Readers have become so invested in these characters which is why Deb is compelled to keep their stories going.  Release date for this awaited book is October 15th.  By the way, Deb is a gifted photographer and she does her own covers!

Struggling to find happiness? Well, let positive life coach Melissa Schnapp show you how to Be Happier in a Minute. A sought after speaker and coach, Melissa Schnapp is Founder and President of LifeStep Coaching, LLC. She has been educating and inspiring individuals for over 25 years. As a Positive Life Coach she offers dynamic group presentations and workshops as well as individually helping people define and create their best lives. Melissa’s knowledge and expertise in the area of positive psychology and mindfulness training along with her natural enthusiasm combine in her wonderful ability to connect with people of all ages.  Shorehouse Books will release this book in mid to late October.

CORNER OFFICE BOOKS:

Cathy Sikorski is our first (TRUMPET PLEASE!) author who will go under the Corner Office Books imprint. By the way, we held a contest last summer for the name of the new label and Bill Spencer entered Corner Office Books and we thought it matched our goals perfectly.  Following up on her success with SHOWERING WITH NANA: Confessions of a Serial (Killer) Caregiver, Corner Office Books will  release  Who Moved My Teeth? in early November just in time for National Caregiver Month. An experienced caregiver and attorney who limits her practice to Elder Care Issues, Cathy provides the must-have information that not only to Baby Boomers but the children of Baby Boomers and future generations will need to prepare for the future. We are all going to face tough decisions. Presented in a clear and often humorous way, Who Moved My Teeth? is THE how-to manual about being prepared for whatever life throws at us. This new book is an invaluable tool for all of us.
