The creativity of spectators at race events is quite amazing. Here are some of my favorite signs:

- Smile, you paid to do this.
- You’re running better than the government.
- Oh hell, you’ve come this far, you might as well finish.
- I’ll bet you thought this was a good idea 2 months ago!
- Runners don’t die, they just smell like it.
- This seems like a lot of work for a free banana.
- Move it, slowpoke.
- WTF (Where’s The Finish).
- Hurry, free beer at the finish line.
