Basking in the success of Barbie, Greta Gerwig has agreed to direct Clown Car, an anti-superhero movie inspired by the embarrassing debacle of the September 27th debate featuring 7 Republican Presidential candidates.
“My goal is to make a comedy that is also a tragedy,” says Gerwig. “I want you to laugh at this collection of hapless, interrupting numbnuts while you hold a barf bag that contains the results of your reflections on the current state of the Republican Party.
“Our cast for Clown Car is set. Amy Schumer will portray Nikki Haley; Whoopi Goldberg is eager to play Vivek Ramaswamy; Kenan Thompson will make a terrific Chris Christie; and all of the remaining candidates will be portrayed by Will Ferrell.
“Don’t be surprised if you see a torrid, scorched-earth sex scene in which a large carton of high-pulp Minute Maid Orange Juice makes a cameo appearance as Donald Trump, cavorting with Melania Death Star, played by Marla Maples.”
Marvel plans to release Clown Car in the spring of 2024.
