Republicans’ Support for Trump Soars Following His Arrest for Stabbing a Shetland Pony with a Rusty Railroad Spike

Months before the first Republican Presidential primary, Donald Trump has all but locked up his party’s nomination for the top spot on the 2024 ticket.  The latest Quinnipiac University poll, taken one day after Trump was arrested for an unprovoked attack on a Shetland pony at a Palm Beach, Florida petting zoo, shows that 96% of registered Republican voters plan to cast their ballot for him.

The remarks of 72-year-old New Hampshire farmer Caleb Slent capture well the sentiment of these supporters:  “Shetland ponies pretend to be real horses, but they’re not.  They’re the kind of horse Hillary Clinton would own.  That says it all.  Thank God for Donald J. Trump!”
