Trump Escapes Punishment for Criminal Conviction, But His White House Stationery Does Not

Although President-elect Donald J. Trump will not be going to jail or otherwise punished for his criminal conviction in the Stormy Daniels hush-money case, Justice Juan Merchan did rule on Friday that — beginning January 20th — all White House correspondence from Trump must bear the signature, “Donald J. Trump, Convicted Felon-in-Chief.”

Justice Merchan stated in his decision that “it’s important for American voters to be reminded, every day, that they chose to elect an amoral dipwad as President.”

Trump’s reaction was swift, announcing his plans to appoint Merchan as Assistant Postmaster of Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, as soon as the U. S. takes control of that territory: “Have fun, Juan, as you suck on a snow cone drizzled with musk-ox urine at next year’s Reindeer Days Festival in downtown Nuuk.”

Merchan’s reply: “Sir, I would much rather do that any day than be forced to shake your hand.”
