The Stolen Kiss: A Love Poem

It was an act of pure passion

The night he stole that first kiss.

He savored the moment

That he had dreamt of so long.

He wanted to tell her how he felt

But he could only think –

One more kiss!

Soon, he couldn’t stop himself

Kiss after kiss

She didn’t stop him.

Although he knew he must tell her

About this love so true,

He thought it best

To wait until they were through.

At last, he got up the courage

To tell her those words caught in his throat,

To profess his love

Regardless of what she felt.

The time was right

His heart was pounding from all the kisses

When he told her those words:

“Honey, I love Hershey’s!

I ate all your chocolate!”
