Dad doesn’t get to have his way

My dad is one of those people who is older than his children. Like his dad and his sisters dad, he can often be heard extolling the virtues of bygone days, such as “Back in my day, there was no Bon Jovi, pretending to make music with artistic merit” or “Back in my day, there was no money so we used to swap sheep for iPhones” or “Back in my day, we didn’t have sheep to swap for iPhones to watch the non-existent Bon Jovi, pretending to make music with artistic merit”. Because he was annoying us, we decided to put him into a nursing home but it wasn’t long before he was kicked out:

I can't say I'm brilliant until I get this duct tape off my mouth!

How come there was a ratio of 2 women for every 1 man? Oh yeah. I forgot. Women live longer than men, there are more old ladies than old gentlemen, so they figured to share … or form some threesomes. The mind boggles.

They don’t make old people like they used to! ;)

Well, if this was allowed to happen, I would guess that old parents everywhere wouldn’t be bitching about going to a retirement home. It makes the Arts and Crafts room sound like a fun place now I bet

It’s like college all over again.
