Creative Headlines Part 1

Journalists aren’t always considered a creative bunch, since their jobs are mainly limited to reporting the facts, and only the facts, ma’am. However, every once in a while, a journalist gets a little creative, and posts a headline that is meant to make you giggle, or at least make you spit your morning coffee out of your nose. Here are some headlines that could one day make the front page of the New York Times if I were a journalist.

  • Local dentist convicted of filling cavities of sleeping patients

  • OJ squeezed into confessing the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson

  • Experts forecast a 90% chance of Rainn Wilson to win the Emmy

  • At Last, singer Etta James dies at 73

  • Proctor & Gamble loses the bet and lays off 25,000

  • Charlie Sheen loses his luster, and enrolls in Shady Days rehab

  • Bill Clinton caught smuggling Cuban cigars down south

  • Betty White powers her way through 9 decades

  • The Newt Gingrich that stole South Carolina

  • Mime killed in Central Park, cries for help not heard

That’s all for now folks.
