Count on AARP to give us geezers the straight poop

In an AARP Bulletin cover story on “Health Fads, Fails and Fixes,” Dr. Rosario Ligresti, MD, director of the Pancreas Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, discusses fecal transplant and its health benefits:

“Donor stool with healthy bacteria is inserted into a patient’s colon to alter the flora and treat ailments such as lupus and diabetes. “People have pooh-poohed this idea for years, Ligresti says. “But we now know that, for certain conditions, it can change your life almost overnight.” (May 2018 AARP BULLETIN p. 12)

But Dr. Ligresti… with no pooh-poohing, no fecal transplant fixes.
