Pepperoni Hot Pockets Containing Glass and Plastic are Recalled by Nestlé, While Hot Pockets with Toenail Clippings and Birdseed Remain on Store Shelves

Why is Nestlé, the maker of Hot Pockets, recalling the former but not the latter?

The answer is simple, according to CEO Ulf Mark Schneider:  consumers report that the combination of toenail clippings and birdseed actually enhances the taste of Pepperoni Hot Pockets.

“This is a classic case of serendipity,” says Schneider, “similar to Fleming’s discovery of penicillin.  And the news gets better.  Beginning in February we will be adding a clippings/birdseed mixture to our Toll House Cocoa Mix, resulting in  our first ‘Crunchy Blend’ flavor.”

Winter evenings in front of the fireplace are about to get a lot yummier.
