This morning, I watched an elderly lady back her Lincoln into a display of geraniums and an employee at the local nursery
The employee yelled, “STOP! STOP!”
The lady slammed on her brakes.
“You almost hit me and you destroyed this entire area. Look at the damage!”
The old lady replied, “Oh, I’m sorry, but I can’t see when I am in reverse with this big car.”
“Get a smaller car then,” the nursery employee snapped back as she climbed out of the pile of broken planters and shredded flowers.
“Oh, no. Everyone knows that big cars are safer.”
A true story – I swear.
I bet her license plate read North Carolina, where the use of turn signals is optional not mandatory, bless her heart, LOL!!
North Carolina? I guessed Jersey but she was a PA driver – her plate proved it.
My Grandma had a Cadillac Brougham for the same reason. I hate to say it, but it is safer… for the old lady. Everyone else, eh, not so much. 😉
well, as long as the elderly live on!
