‘Leftover Women’ of China: Meet your ABC ‘Bachelor’!

Apparently the latest trend for women in China is to remain unmarried in their late 20s and 30s. The media has dubbed this phenomenon, “Leftover Women,” which is just about as sweet as when radio stations swap “Bitch” for “Ho” in the censored version of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.”

Despite this disrespectful designation, clearly this is a prime opportunity for a reality TV show. Twenty Chinese women, looking for love. And here’s the twist, since they are “leftovers,” we strand them in Antarctica, the global equivalent of a refrigerator (a broken one, since the polar ice caps are melting!).

  1. Wow! This is worse than being the “extra” woman in an all-couples get-together.
