Gowdy Denies Benghazi Investigation is Witch Hunt, Subpoenas Clinton, A Large Stake, Kindling

As pressure mounts from critics questioning whether the House Select Committee On Benghazi is simply a partisan witch hunt, Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has remained steadfast in his denials. Despite the fact that statements from Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Rep. Richard Hanna (R-NY), and even Fox News host Bill O’Reilly have raised serious doubts that the so-called investigation is anything but a deliberate attempt to smear former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s reputation and Presidential aspirations, Gowdy remained defiant.

“Let me clear things up for you guys,” Gowdy told a group of reporters. “This is in no way a partisan witch hunt. This is about some potentially serious crimes that may have occurred such as ‘is Mrs.Clinton able to float in water when tied to a chair?’ And ‘is Mrs. Clinton lighter than a duck?’ I’ve also asked that a large stake be present as well as several large stacks of kindling wood for no other reason than 4 people died and if that makes it partisan then…” Gowdy trailed off, wiping away a tear and kissing his American flag lapel pin.

“But we will search Mrs. Clinton’s skin for the mark of the devil and we will have her read some of her accursed emails aloud. If that doesn’t bring the four deceased Americans back from the dead, then we will have our answer as to her guilt. It’s frankly disgusting that some of you have vilified the hard work of this committee and tried to characterize it as something it is clearly not.”

Hillary Clinton is expected to testify in front of the House Select Committee On Benghazi this coming Thursday.
