Weight training, hah;

I was talking to a person at a recent networking event and, after introductions; I asked him what he did.

As it turns out, he manages a local fitness center and provided weight training, resistance training, cardio, boot camps etc.

After further discussion, I told him that I much preferred running as a means to stay fit and I’ve been running for many years.

His response, not surprisingly, advised me that, while running is good for cardio fitness, additional weight training would certainly be beneficial.

I then asked him if, by refusing to go to the gym, that counts as resistance training?

  1. Funny!

    There was just an article in the NYT that talked about running being superior to weight training. Guess it can’t hurt to do both.
