“I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse.” The Godfather
Don Vito Corleone has a lot of class. He could have said, “I’ll kill a horse and stuff the head in his bed” or “I’ll get Luca Brasi the baby murderer1 to scare the shit out of him.” Instead, he chooses to be delicate. What a sweet guy!
”Love means never having to say you’re sorry.” Love Story
Pardon me for saying this, but that’s one of the dumbest statements ever made and it comes from an even dumber movie. To add further insult, when this film first came out everyone was going around saying that, all the time, everywhere, even though most of us didn’t quite understand why anyone would think that, let alone say it out loud in public.
A boy’s best friend is his mother. Psycho
Norman says this, but he’s quick to hide Mom in the cellar when people come over. Of course, Mom is in no condition to receive company. She doesn’t look very good. In fact, she’s so exhausted that she’s just dead. Norman wishes she would take on other responsibilities around the place besides stabbing the motel guests and leaving a mess, but he knows that’s not going to happen.
The pellet with the poison’s in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! The Court Jester

If you’re going to be delusional, you might as well go all the way. Norma has delusion down to an art, not to mention narcissism, manipulation and several other mental problems. She is aided and abetted by her first husband, who is a master enabler with a few mental problems of his own. Ah, love!
Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me. Aren’t you? The Graduate
Well, D’UH! This has to be one of the biggest understatements in the history of the world. This ranks right up there with “I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse.” Enough said.
1This isn’t in the movie. You have to read the book to find this out. Sorry.
For me, love means apologising profusely and buying her enough shoes to shoe 6456 horses!
Yeah. That works. 😉
I defy most of today’s actors to be as funny as The Court Jester.
Danny Kaye was a comedic genius. When it comes to being funny, we can all take lessons from him. “The Court Jester” has to be one of the funniest, if not THE funniest movie comedy of all time.
He was a nice guy, too, and a humanitarian.
I guess I’ll have to watch it!
If you like funny movies, you’ll love The Court Jester.
