In 1996, I was in a play that I also happened to direct. There was a scene where my character, in a fit of rage, traps his wife up against a wall and screams, streams of words that you don’t hear in a Disney movie. We rehearsed this one scene for ages and I thought it would be interesting to gauge how real it looked in real life. We decided to play the scene outside a busy bank at the ATM, to an unsuspecting public. I think we can safely say that it looked real because the cops came and it took a lot of convincing before they believed we were only acting. Thinking back now, it probably wasn’t a good idea to cause such a commotion outside a bank and maybe we should have done it in a church during a sermon. This picture has nothing to do with the story but it has to do with perception:

It’s all about the perception, Bill!
Just imagine how much kids would miss if they didn’t have fathers who ignored the perceptions of their mothers! 🙂
Judging by the picture, I would say, an awful lot! 🙂
YES! And Bill Y your perception of a mother’s mind has made women everywhere see you as a sensitive man or maybe a Dr. Phil or at least an Alan Alda!
Just thinking about the damage I could do as “Dr. Bill” makes me feel all good inside!
